U.S. Federal Reserve Act - while everyone else was home for the holidays - from 3 (three) senators in a unanimous voice vote on 23 Adopted in December 1913. Some people think that the Federal Reserve Banks as the United States government institutions. They are private monopolies, that the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their loot foreign customers, foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers, and rich and predatory money lenders. The Fedfollowed a consistent policy of flooding the economy with easy money, which followed a missalocation of resources and an artificial "boom" of a recession or depression when the Fed has created bubble bursts. From the Great Depression, the stagflation of the seventies to the bursting of the dotcom bubble, the housing crisis, every economic downturn suffered by the country over the past 80 years can be traced to Federal Reserve policy.
